Bollywood comedy drama, Mastana, directed by Adurthi Subba Rao was released on October 16, 1970. The movie starred Mehmood and Padmini in lead roles while Vinod Khanna, Manorama, Bharthi, Rehman, Shyama, Kamal kapoor, Jayshree T. Leela Mishra and Rameseh Deo also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Hemlata, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named satya ( Mehmood ), who is a simple minded but poor person. He meets with a rich girl named Naintara ( Bobby ), who has been neglected by her family. Satya and naintara befriends each other. However, the problme arises when Naintara’s parents revelas about this freidnship relation of Stay and their daughter. They forbid Naintara to see Satya anymore. As a result of this seperation from her very close friend, Naintara falls seriously ill.

Naintara ask her parents to allow her to meet with Satya but they refuse to give their nod for this. On the other hand, Satya wants to meet with Naintara but is not able to do so as he has been strictly warned by the police to keep a distance with Naintara. Naintara’s parents knows that only Satya’s return to her will make her recover from the illness but still they does not want Satya to meet with her.
