Bollywood movie, Meetha Zeher, directed by Mohnider was released on March 1, 1985. The movie starred Deepak Parashar and Padmini Kapila in lead roles while Ranjeet, Om Prakash and Bharat Kapoor also played important characters in the movie. The melodious music of the movie was composed by the music director Babla while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Vijay Kumar ( Om Prakash ), who belongs to a middle class family. He gets the opportunity of playing football in the foriegn country. He goes over there and ends up meeting an orphan girl named Barkha ( Padmini Kapila ). Soon they both fall in love with each other. But tragedy stikes when Vijay revelas that his all family members are killed in a riot. He immediately leaves to India. Barkha waits for him to retrun to her. Meanwhile she meets with a another guy named Rajeev Malhotra ( Bharat Kapoor ).

On the other hand, Vijay return to the country after cremating his family. He get shocked to learn that Barkha is now married to Rajeev. Heartbroken Vijay then decides to become rich and enter in the crime world. he starts working for underworld don, Bhujang. But little does he knows is that Bhujang is the one who is responsible for the death of his family members. What will happen now?
