Men Not Allowed was a social movie that was released on June 2, 2006 under the banner of Shri Vardan Pictures Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Shrey Shrivastav and produced by Arya Ved Prakash and Avnish Aggrawal. The actors in the lead roles were Payal Rohatgi, Nassar Abdulla, Aryan Vaid, Monica Castelino whereas the supporting roles were played by Kunika, Tarun Arora and Tina Mazumdar. The music of the film was directed by Sanjeev Srivastava and the songs were sung by Shreya Ghosal, Sonu Kakkar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan and Roop Kumar Rathod.

There had been several instances of movies made on special themes like there was a film Girlfriend directed by Karan Razdan that was based on the theme of lesbians. It was during that time only that the director Shrey Shrivastav started working on the movie Men Not Allowed that is alo based on the similar theme. The movie revolves around two girls who have been tricked and fooled by men and now they are living with hatred for all the men in their lives. It is the story of Tanya ( Payal Rohatgi ) and Urmila ( Tina Majumdar ).

Tanya is a daughter of a famous businessman Karan Sharma and had lost her mother when she was a kid. She runs an advertising agency with her father and found herself in love with Shekhar ( Aryan Vaid ). Her wedding was almost final but her world seems to be shattered when she found him in bed with some other girls. Urmila was an aspiring model and gets selected for an ad campaign for Tanya’s agency. Her parents were drug addicts and had died due to it. She was then sent to an orphanage where she developed hatred for men.
