Mera Dil Tere Liye was a romantic movie released in 1991 under the banner of V V Creations. The movie was directed by S A Chandrashekar and was produced by Shohreh Bhag. The top roles in the movie were played by Shaila Kapoor, Raza Murad, Kader Khan and Mamta Kulkarni. Other good roles were played by Arun Verma, Anjana Mumtaz, Dinesh and Neeraj. The music of the film was given by Babul Bose while the sons were sung by Suresh Wadekar, Anuradha Paudwal, Poornima and Sudesh Bhosle. The lyricist was Ravindra Jain.

The movie’s story is an obvious Indian love story where the parents are not ready for marriage but the lovers will do anything to get married. In the movie Priya Singh ( Mamta Kulkarni ) is a very rich and lavish girl living with his dad, Raghunath Singh ( Raza Murad ) and her mom. They are wealthy and prestigious family. Priya was a college student and there, in the college she meets a smart young man Vijay ( Neeraj ) and fells in love with him. When her dad comes to know about all this he goes mad with anger.

Raghu wanted Priya to marry to his friend’s son who was well established abroad. When the lovers come to know about all this they with the help of college principal decide to marry in a temple. The wedding was interrupted by Raghunath who claimed her daughter to be minor so police stopped the wedding. In 15 days Priya was going to be 18 so Raghunath decided to send her abroad, where his friend’s son lived so as to marry her to him. Now, what will be fate of the lovers?
