Bollywood action thriller, Mera Faisla, directed by S. V. Rajendra Singh was released in the year 1984. The movie starred Sanjay Dutt and Rati Agnihotri in lead roles while Jayapradha, Shakti kapoor, Pinchoo Kapoor, Kadar Khan, Rajendra nath, Nirupa Roy, Satyendra Kapoor, Pran and Asrani also played significant characters in the film. The hit evergreen msuic of the movie was directed by the veteran music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Shabbir Kumar, Suresh Wadkar, Shailendra Singh and Asha Bhonsle.

The movie starts with young and handsome, Raj Saxena ( Sanjay Dutt ) who meets with a girl named Rati Verma ( Rati Agnihotri ) in his college and instantly falls in love with her. Rati too get attracted towards him and soon they both expresses their love for each other. Then they decides to get married soon. Rati introduces Raj to her father named Major Verma ( Pinchoo Kapoor ), who after knowing about his background refuse to give permission for their marraige. He also forbids Rati from meeting with Raj.

Raj reveals that his father, Anand Saxena ( Parikshat Sahni ), who was a police officer by profession was accused of being a corrupted officer of the police force. Raj decides to join the police force in order to clear his father’s name. But soon he realizes that he is just acting like a puppet in the hands of some people who were behind his father’s death.
