The movie is about an ambitious, hard working and popular journalist Vikas Sagar (Zayed Khan). The famous journalist is watched regularly by thousands of people and so is by Owais Hussain (Suniel Shetty) who is a senior producer of a controversial Istanbul based AL JOHARA channel. Hussain offers Vikas to head the channel and offers him handsome money for this. Vikas was also interested as the channel is popular worldwide and can make him famous globally. The offer also came at a good time in his life when he was going to divorce his wife Anjali (Shriya Saran).

The reason for their separation was that Vikas didn’t want to start their family soon after the marriage. He accepted the offer and was required to fly to Istaanbul for a three months orientation program. But he was unaware that the channel was headed by some terrorists like Abu Nazir who is in the wanted list of FBI. Vikas flied next to Lisa Lobo (Shweta Bhardwaj) who was feeling uncomfortable during the flight. During his stay he gets to know more about Abu Nazir and realizes that it’s hard to get any personal information about him.

During an assignment to cover kidnapped journalists in Abu Nazir’s terrorist camps in Afghanistan, Vikas finds that Abu’s brother Khalil (Shabbir Ahluwalia) killed Owais Hussain. On discovering that Vikas was about to quit, the Turkish commando, Rizwan Khan (Vivek Oberoi) warns him not to do so else the result would be same as that of Owais Hussain. What would the journalist do now?
