Bollywood sci-fi comedy flick, Mr. X In Bombay, directed by Shantilal Soni and written by R. P. Ashk was released in the year 1964. The movie starred Kishore Kumar and Kumkum in lead roles while Lella Mishra, Madan Puri, Kesari, Randhir, Mohan Choti and Jeevan kala also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well known music director Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

Shobha Mathur ( Kumkum ) is the only daughter of a welathy Professor named Mathur ( Randhir ). Mathur is carrying out experiments on various issues and his one such experiment results in the death of his employee named Manohar. Mathur’s friend, Rajan ( Madan Puri ) comes to Mathur’s rescue and help him in getting rid of Manohar’s dead body. But after that he starts blackmailing him. He demands him to give his daughter’s hand in his hand as he wants to get married with Shobha. Meanwhile Shobha meets with a poet named Sudharshan ( Kishore Kumar ) and falls in love with him.

Mathur tells Shobha about Rajan and ask her to get married with him. On the otherhand, Sudharshan also asks her to get married with him to which she refuses. The very next she recieves a note in which Sudharshan has stated that he is going to commit suicide. later she recives the news of Sudharshan’s death. After few days, Shobha starts hearing Sudarshan’s voice, blaming her for his death. What next in store for Shobha?
