Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao was a romantic comedy released on June 29, 2001 under the banner of Prakash Mehra Pictures Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Harry Baweja and produced by Prakash Mehra. The important roles in the movie were played by Naseruddin Shah, Mukul Dev, Rekha and Arshad Warsi while supporting roles were played by Priyanka Trivedi, Mushtaq Khan and Suman Ranganathan.

Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao was a bit different movie with Naseruddin Shah playing the lead. He has been proving his flexibility as an actor by playing different roles in his movies. The name of the movie is self explanatory about the story of the film. It is the story of Anand Mathur ( Naseruddin Shah ) who wants to escape from the clutches of his wife Kamini ( Rekha ). The day Anand married the rich girl Kamini, changed his life. He married her seeing his father’s wealth and popularity.

But the day when her father died, Anand was in a shock as he came to know that her father has left in his will, only his blessings and not a single rupee. This made Anand lose hope and thus he took money from Kamini’s office without her consent. He needed hefty money to pay the bills of beautiful Anuradha ( Suman Ranganathan ) whom he had fallen for. He asked Rocky ( Arshad Warsi ), a simple guy in Kamini’s office, to give money and keep quiet.
