The action movie Mulzim was released on March 18, 1988. The movie was directed by K S R Das and produced by G Hanumantha Rao. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini and Amrita Singh while the presence of Kader Khan, Kimi, Ranjeet, Suresh Oberoi, Asrani, Urmila Bhatt, Baby Guddo, Aruna Irani, Kiran Juneja and Bharat Bhushan supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri.

The story of the action movie Mulzim revolves mostly around a young man living in rural India named Vijay Kumar ( Jeetendra ). He makes his living by farming. He loved the people of the village very much and wanted to do something for them. He wanted change the lifestyle of the people of the village and himself by building a hospital for them with the help of attractive young doctor Rekha ( Kimi ) whom he loved very much. He wanted to build the hospital so desperately that he was ready to donate his land for the purpose.

Rekha suggests Vijay that he should contact the District Collector and get the permission to build the hospital at some other location and he does exactly that. But the problem to their plan was posed by local Zamindar of the region, Ranjit Kumar ( Suresh Oberoi ) who wanted to build the cinema house in place of the hospital at the same location in his beloved’s name Sheela ( Padmini Kapila ). The turn in the movie comes when Vijay was arrested by police in charge of killing Sheela.
