Mumbai Matinee was a romantic comedy released on September 26th, 2008 under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications. The movie was directed by Anant Balani and produced by Rangita Pritish Nandy. The important roles in the movie were played by Rahul Bose, Vijay Raaz, Perizaad Zorabian and Saurabh Shukla while Asrani and Anousha Dandekar were also there in the film. music of the film was directed by Anand Raj Anand and the songs were sung by Kunal Ganjawala, Joe Alvares, Sonu Nigam, Abbey and Shaan.

Pritish Nandy Communications’ next release Mumbai Matinee is a romantic story based on some strange theme. It is a love story about a 32-year old virgin. Debashish aka Debu Chatterjee ( Rahul Bose ) is 32 year old man working in an advertising agency. He has everything but is troubled by a problem that he is still a virgin. Debu is so worried about it that it has started showing consequences on his job and need to find a solution to it soon enough. He comeacross a man named Baba Hindustani (Vijay Raaz ) who posed a ray of hope to him.

Baba promised to cure his all problems and asked Debu to pay a visit to Hotel Piccadilly where the Baba worked. Debu come across a small film maker Nitin Kapoor ( Saurabh Shukla ) at the hotel and the two went along right away. Baba gave Debu a bottle of colored pills and told him that his problems will be over within a week. After a week, Debu still remains a virgin and realizes that he is actually getting robbed by the Baba and Kapoor. Sonali Verma ( Perizaad Zorabian ), a journalist, comes in his life and two falls in love.
