Muqaddar Ka Faisla was a family drama released on May 29, 1987 under the banner of Dharma Productions. The movie was directed by Prakash Mehra and produced by Yash Chopra and Yash Johar. The main roles in the movie were played by Raaj Kumar, Raj Babbar, Meenakshi Seshadri and Tina Munim while the presence of Ranjeet, Pran, Kajal, Rakhee, Akbar Khan and Vijayendra Ghatge supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar. The lyrics of the movie were given by Prakash Mehra and Anjaan.

Muqaddar Ka Faisla was a social cum family drama that mostly revolved around an honest Hindu priest named Pandit Krishnakant ( Raaj Kumar ). He was a true and simple priest yet he was charged with the crime of raping a girl. Because of this charge he was not only thrown out of his job but was also imprisoned. This was the major twist in the story as it left his family behind in total poverty. But the reality was something else.

After being released from the prison, Pandit wanted to take revenge for his humiliation and also wanted to meet his family. But the problem was that his family was not there. The male lead in the film was played by Raaj Kumar who has given many hit movies like Mother India released in 1957, Desh Ke Dushmann released in 1989, Tirangaa released in 1993 while his first film as an actor was Raaz released in 1949.
