Bollywood movie, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, directed by Prakash Mehra was released on 27 october 1978. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Rakhee and Rekha in lead roles while Amjad Khan and Kader Khan also played significant roles in the movie. The superhit music of the movie was given by Kalyanji Anandji. The movie did exceptionally well at the box office.

The movie starts with a orphan child. A Muslim women named Fatima ( Nirupa Roy ) adopts him and name him Sikander ( Amitabh Bachchan ). Sikander starts working in a house where he befriends a girl Kaamna ( Rakhee ). Kaamn’s dad, Ramnath does not like him at all. He create such situation that Sikander leaves his house. Later Fatima dies and leaves behind Sikander with the responsibility of looking after her daughter, Mehroo.

Now, Sikander has grown up and became a well established person in society. But he has still not forgotten Kaamna. He meets her but failed to propose her because of the fear that she may rejects him. One of his friend bring him to a prostitute by the name of Zohrabai ( Rekha ) who instantly falls in love with Sikander. Zohrabai’s lover Dilawar ( Amjad Khan ) becomes the enemy of Sikander thinking that he loves Zorabhai. Sikander takes the help of one of his close friend Advocate Vishal ( Vinod Khanna ) in writing a love letter to Kaamna. But to his misfortune, Kaamna thinks that Vishal has written the love letter for her. When Sikander goes to meet her, he finds Kaamna in Vishal’s arms. What will he do now? whether he will go for the kill or will go back to Zohrabai?
