The religious movie My Friend Ganesha 2 was released on August 22, 2008 unedr the banner of Baba Arts Limited Production. The movie has been directed by Rajiv S. Ruia and the important roles had been played by Harsh Chhaya, Upasna Singh and Bhairavi Goswami. There were also special appearances by Mika Singh and Raja Hasan. Music of the film has been directed by Sameer Phaterpekar, Frequency Band and Vinay Kapadia and the songs were sung by Mika Singh, Shravan Suresh, Raja Hasan and Khushboo Jain.

The movie My Friend Ganesha 2 is the sequel of the earlier released movie My Friend Ganesha. This movie is similar to the one released earlier. My Friend Ganesha 2 is not an animated movie but Lord Ganeshji has been shown animated. The story of the movie revolves around a child Vashu who has most loving and brilliant parents- airhostess mother Anita and father Dr. Amit. Vashu had some strange habit of covering his ears most of the time and this is why he is teased by his friends at school calling him “Gandhiji’s monkey”. This may be a reason why he is sad most of the time.

Vashu also has a good friend Tanya who wished to figure out why he was doing this. Vashu told her that when he removes the hand he starts hearing the noise of the fight between his parents. Vashu new maid Gangu Tai also became his good friend. Vashu decides to take part in a dance competition in school and was assured help by Gangu Tai but a bully Roky didn’t like him and posed several hurdles. Gangu Tai tells Vashu that if he prays to Lord Ganesh he will surely help him. Vashu became friends with Lord Ganesha and soon all of his problems disappeared.
