Bollywood movie, Nakhuda, directed by Dilip Naik was released in the year 1981. The movie starred Raj Kiran and Swaroop Sampat in lead roles while Kulbhushan Khrabanda, Vikas Anand, Madan Puri, Bharat Kapoor, Jagdish Raj, Jagdish Raj, Sudhir Dalvi, Javed Khan and Mac Mohan also played significant characters in the film. The melodious hit music of the movie was composed by the very famous veteran music director Khayyam while the songs were crooned by Mahendra Kapoor, Nitin Mukesh and Lata Mangeshkar.

The movie starts with a guy named Ravi Shankar ( Raj Kiran ), who studies in a college and is living far apart from his parents for his education. He lives in a hotel room which belongs to Sheikhu Dada ( Kulbhushan Kharbanda ). Problem arises when Ravi’d father passes away and Ravi fails pay the rent to Sheikhu Dada., who then ask him to leave the room immediately. However, Ravi manage to convince him that he will return all his money after getting job somewhere. Ravi completes his education with good marks and Shekhu helps him in getting job.

Ravi gets a job with a wealthy businessman, Jaggannath Gupta ( Madan Puri ). Ravi meets with the daughter of Gupta named Sonia ( Swaroop Sampat ) and falls in love with her. Ravi and Sonia gets intimate as a result of which Sonia gets pregnant. Jaggannath is happy with Ravi and have no problems with him to get married with Sonia. But the only problem is Sheiku’s involvment in their life.
