The adventurous action movie Naksha was released on September 8, 2006 under the banner of Om Films Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Sachin Bajaj and produced by Akshay Bajaj. The main roles were played by Sunny Deol, Sameera Reddy, Vivek Oberoi and Mridula Chandrashekhar while significant roles were played by Navni Parihar, Jackie Shroff and Lilliput. The music of the film was directed by Pritam Chakraborty and the songs were sung by Suzanne D’Mello, Sonu Nigam, Labh Jajua, Alisha Chinoy, Shreya Ghosal and Kailash Kher.

A general impression of the film Naksha gives us a feeling that the movie is based on the theme of Indian Jones movies but the movie combines Indian mythology along with the adventure. Naksha is an adventurous that is released at a time when the directors have forgotten to produce movie of this kind. The story of the movie starts with a search of an archeologist named Professor Kapil Malhotra ( Trilok Malhotra ) who died in an attempt to not to reveal a secret map to the bad man ( Jackie Shroff ).

Some years later, Kapil’s son Vicky ( Vivek Oberoi ) comes across a copy of the map by chance and leaves on a mission to find what his father devoted his whole life upon. But he was kidnapped by a group of criminals who are after the map. He was freed by his elder step brother Vir ( Sunny Deol ) who was sent by Vicky’s mother to get him back. The brothers now argue over the issue of his return and they soon comes across a girl Ria ( Sameera Reddy ) in the forest. The trio starts their mission to discover the mystery concerned with the map.
