Bollywood suspense action thriller, Nalaik, directed by Padmanabh was released in the year 1978. The movie starred Jeetendra and Leena Chandavarkar in lead roles while Nirupa Roy, Satyendra Kapoor, Sujit Kumar, Bindu, Asrani, Dara Singh, Raza Murad, Raju Shrestha and Shivraj also played important characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were rendered by Mohammed rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Laxman ( Jeetendra ) is a fun loving guy and considered as the black sheep of the family. He is living alongwith his elder brother, Rama Narayan ( Satyendra Kapoor ) and sister-in-law, Sita ( Nirupa Roy ). Ram Narayan works in a jewellery store. Laxman meets with a beautiful girl named Seema ( Leena Chandavarkar ) and falls in love with her. Seema too get attracted towards him. One day Ram Narayan is asked to deliver a necklace to a women named Rita ( Bindu ). But the very next day Rita calls the owner of the jewellery shop and claims that the necklace delivered to her is fake.

Ram Narayan goes to meet her and after returning from there tells his family that he has settled the matter with Rita. But everyone get shocked when police arrives to arrest Ram Narayan in the charge of the Rita’s murder. Ram pleas that he is innocent but police refuse to hear his pleas and arrest him. Now Laxman decides to unravel the mystery of Rita’s murder but he also get shcoked when he learns that Seema is the younger sister of Rita.
