Narsimha was an action movie released on July 5, 1991. The movie was produced and directed by N Chandra. The main roles in the movie were played by Sunny Deol, Dimple Kapadia, Urmila Matondkar and Ravi Behl. Some other appreciable roles were played by Om Puri, Johny Lever, Shafi Inamdaar and Satish Shah. The music of the movie was given by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Amit Kumar and Sudesh Bhosle. The lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar.

The movie’s story is simple but interesting. In the movie Narismha ( Sunny Deol ) is a poor young man. He is happy in his own little family. Narismha got his sister married in a good family and felt relieved. Narismha goes to her sister place on the occasion her sister giving birth to a baby. On his return he was shocked to find that there is a conflict among villages. So he stays at some place and goes to his house when everything is solved. He gets the biggest shock of his life to know that his entire family is dead and he is all alone.

This incident runs him into alcohol and he starts working for a local criminal Baapji ( Om Puri ). Baapji’s daughter, Meenu ( Urmila Matondkar ) fells in love with a boy Ravi ( Ravi Behl ). Baapji when comes to know about all this, goes mad and instructs Narismha to kill Ravi. Narismha instead stands in support of Ravi. The final twist arises when Meenu agrees to marry Ravi on the condition that he has to prove her dad as a criminal in 24 hours. The movie has some really good action scenes.
