Bollywood movie, Nastik, directed by Pramod Chakravorty was released on 18 febraury 1983. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in lead roles while Pran, Amjad Khan, Sarika and Lalita Powar also played significant characters in the film. The music of the film was given by famous music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were sung by Mahendra Kapoor, Asha Bhonsle, Kishore Kumar, Amit Kumar etc. The movie did exceptionally well at the box office and went on to become one of the biggest hit of that year.

The movie starts with Shankar ( Amitabh Bachchan ), who turn into an athiest when his father got brutally killed by Tiger ( Amjad Khan ). His mother and sister was also killed by the same person. He tries to kill Tiger but ends up making him blind only. He grows up stealing money from rich people. He meets with two other con persons, Balbir ( Pran ) and Gauri ( Hema Malini ). They three makes thier own ganag and starts stealing other’s property together. Shankar steals Tiger’s goods and while running away from his mens founds his mother and sister, whom he thought were dead.

He then decides to leave his stealing business. He come to know from his sister that Tiger is still alive. He gets a job at Tiger’s home but still he is unknown to the fact that he is the person who he tried to killed in past. Tiger’s sister falls in love with him. But what when Shankar will come to know about the fact that the person under which he is working right now is the one named Tiger?
