Bollywood suspense thriller, Nazar, directed by Soni Razdan was released on 24 March 2006. The movie starred Ashmit Patel and Pakistani actress, Meera in lead roles while Koel Puri and Rupak Mann also played significant characters in the film. The hit music of the film was given by Anu Malik and Roop Kumar Rathod while the songs were sung by Kay Kay, Sunidhi Chauhan, Subha Mudgal etc. The movie was banned in Pakistan because of a hot kiss scene performed in the film by actress, Meera. The movie failed to do well at the box office.

The movie starts with a young pop star Divya Verma ( Meera ), who seems to be a very complex personality from outside. She lived a very secluded life after the death of her parents in a severe car crash. One night, when she was returing to her home after completing her work, she finds out a dead body lying in the middle of the road. After that incident, she starts seeing strange things in her dreams. Later she discovers that she is actually seeing the things which is supposed to be happen in the near future.

She starts seeing brutual murders of some dance-bar girls by a unknown killer. The face of that killer is still not clear to Divya. Then, Inspector named Rohan Sethi ( Ashmit Patel ), comes into the picture. He is investigating the case of murders of bargirls in the city. The real problem for Divya arises when she configures her name in the list of killer’s next target. Now what will she do to save her life? How Rohan will save her from that unknown killer.
