Former bollywood actress, Neetu Singh or Sonia Singh, was born on July 8, 1958. She is married to famous bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor. She is the mother of latest herathrob of the bollywood industry, Ranbir Kapoor. She started off her acting career at a very young age and did child actor stuff in some bollywood flicks. She finally made her debut as a leading actress in 1973 released Rikshawala. However, the movie movie failed to do well at the box office and termed as the superflop of its time.

She then did a cameo in a hit song ‘ Lekar hum deewana dil’ of Dharmendra and Zeenat Aman starrer Yaadon Ki Baarat. The song went on to become quite a rage between youth and neetu immediately recieved several attentions from filmmakers. After doing a bunch of flop films, she finally delievered her first big hit film titled Khel Khel Mein in she co starred Rishi Kapoor and Rakesh Roshan. She also gave a notable performance in Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor starrer action thriller Deewar. She played the love interest of Shashi in the film.

She went on to deliever several hit films such as Kabhie Kabhie, Parvarish, Amar Akbar Anthony etc. She was paired opposite ‘Jumping jack’ Jeetendra in fantasy movie Dharam Veer. She eventually won a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in multistarrer Kala Patthar. She was next seen in The Burning Train opposite Jeetendra. She worked opposite Amitabh once again in 1981 released Yaarana. The last bollywood film in which she worked was Teesri Aankh which was released in the year 1982.
