Bollywood romantic action drama, Parampara, directed by Yash Chopra and written by Aditya Chopra was released on may 14, 1992. The movie starred Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Raveena Tandon in lead roles while Vinod Khanna, Neelam, Sunil Dutt, Ashwani Bhave, Anupam Kher, Tinnu Verma, Mukesh Rishi and Vikas Anand also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the music director duo Shiv Kumar Sharma and Hariprasad Chaurasia while the songs were rendered by Abhijeet, Suresh Wadkar, Vinod Rathod, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

The movie starts with Thakur Bhavani Singh ( Sunil Dutt ), who considers himself as the supreme power of the region. His london return son, Prithvi ( Vinod Khanna ) is just opposite of him and believes in making friends instead of enemies. He meets with a guy named Gora ( Anupam Kher ), whose father was killed by Bhavani Singh. They becomes friends and prithvi falls in love with Gora’s beautiful sister, Tara ( Ramya Krishnan ). Bhavani arranges Prithvi marraige to Rajeshwari ( Ashwani Bhave ), who belongs to a rich family. But when he reveals about Prithvi’s relationship with tara he sends his goons to kill her.

Circumstances forces Prithvi to marrry both the womens. Tara gives birth to a child and names him Ranveer ( Aamir Khan ). Bhavni gets enraged with this news and kills Tara and also get Gora arrested in the charge of murder. Gora is sentenced to prison. After completing his prison time, he challanges Bhavani for fight but Prithvi intervenes and is killed. Rajeshwari gives birth to Pratap ( Saif Ali Khan ), who is brought up Bhavani. Years later, Ranveer and Pratap comes face to face unknown to their real relationship.
