The offbeat family drama Parivar was released on June 12, 1987. The movie was directed by K Shashilal Nair and produced by V Lalkshman. The key roles in the movie were played by Mithun Chakraborty, Shakti Kapoor, Meenakshi and Aruna Irani while the presence of Jagdeep and Sadhna Singh supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Kalyanji Virji Shah and Anandji Virji Shah while the songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle and Mahendra Kapoor.
