Former bollywood actress, Parveen Babi, was born on April 4, 1949 and died at the age of 55 on January 20, 2005. She did her graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad. She hold the credit of being the first Indian actress to have been featured on Time magazine’s cover. She delievered several hit movies alongwith Amitabh Bachchan in the period of 1970s. She started off her career with 1973 released Charitra. After that she starred in several flop films untill she paired opposite Amitabh in action thriller Deewar.

Her next few movies such as Bullet, Mazdoor Zindabad, Mama Bhanja etc failed to do well at the box office. But she once again alongwith Amitabh delievered another superhit film Amar Akbar Anthony. She also won several acclaims for her performance in the movie titled Pati Patni Aur Woh. She was then seen in three back to back hit movies, Kaala Patthar, Suhaag and Do Aur Do Paanch. In her next movie she starred opposite Vinod Khanna and delievered another blockbuster movie in the form of The Burning Train.

She was then seen in moderate hit Kaalia. Then she played a supporting role in Manoj Kumar’s multistarrer movie Kranti. Her next notable film came in the form of Namak Halal in which she starred opposite Shashi Kapoor. Her last movie was titled Aakarshan which was released in the year 1988. It was speculated that she suffered from schizophrenia. She also shared intimate relationships with director Mahesh Bhatt. She was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on January 20, 2005.
