The comedy movie Pasand Apni Apni was released in the year of 1983. The movie was directed as well as produced by Basu Chatterjee. The key roles in the movie were played by Mithun Chakraborty, Utpal Dutt, Rati Agnihotri and A K Hangal while Javed Khan, Atul Agnihotri, Ashok Kumar, Kumud Tripathi, Jay Shree T and Dinesh Hingoo were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Asha Bhosle and Shailendra Singh.

The movie Pasand Apni Apni was a comedy flick that revolved mostly around a man named Sandeep Anand ( Mithun Chakraborty ) who is a wealthy person living a comfortable life. Sandeep is a big industrialist by profession and also runs a huge organization alone. He has a good number of staff working under him and one day he finds himself attracted towards a young girl named Geeta ( Rati Agnihotri ) in his staff. The problem with her was that she comes from a middle class family and also wanted to marry someone with the same caste.

Sandeep tries to make things work and tells her that he works for Mr. Anand and thus slowly and gradually both fell in love with each other. The twist in the story comes when Geeta and her family finds that Sandeep has been lying to them and thus they got him arrested. When Sandeep convinces the police that he is indeed the real Sandeep Anand, he is released. But Sandeep loved Geeta very much and thus goes back to impress her again.
