Patthar Ke Insaan was an action movie released on January 25, 1991. The movie was directed and produced by Shomu Mukherjee. The lead roles in the movie were played by Vinod Khanna, Jackie Shroff and Sridevi. Some beautiful roles were played by Om Shiv Puri, Saeed Jaffery, Poonam Dhillon and Anjana Mumtaz. The music of the movie was directed by Bappi Lahiri and the songs were sung by Amit Kumar, Bappi Lahiri, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Anuradha Paudwal.

The movie opens with two sisters Asha Rai ( Sridevi ) and Lata Rai ( Poonam Dhillon ). Asha is a brilliant dancer and on the other hand Lata is an excellent singer. In a competition they both compete against each other and Asha wins. Lata gets furious at Asha’s win, rashly drives her car injuring people on the way. She lands on a rock face and died. All this was the biggest shock for Asha. She never thought that her sister will not be able to face her defeat and end her life in this way. Asha’s life got colorless and she thought herself as the killer of Lata.

Later Asha is introduced to Arjun ( Vinod Khanna ) by Inspector Karan ( Jackie Shroff ). Arjun helps Asha to recover from the shock and slowly she fell in love with him. Soon they get married and there was happiness in Asha’s dull life. Soon after Asha comes to know that Arjun is none other than brother of a victim of Lata’s driving. He married Asha to take revenge of his sister’s death. He had plans to kill each and every member of Rai family. Will he be able to do this or Asha’s love will stop him?
