Patthar Ke Phool was a romantic movie released on Feburary 22, 1991 under the banner of Sippy Films. The movie was directed by Anant Balani and the producers were G P Sippy and Vivek Vaswani. The main roles in the movie were played by Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Manohar Singh. Some appreciable roles were played by Reema Lagoo, Vinod Mehra, Kiran Kumar and Vivek Vaswani. The music was given by Ram Lakshman. The singers were Lata Mangeshkar and S P Balasubramaniam. This was Raveena Tondon’s debut movie.

The movie opens with Kiran ( Raveena Tandon ) a beautiful and pampered girl. Her father Balraj Khanna ( Manohar Singh ) is a rich man and wants to give all happiness to his to her daughter. Balraj is a big gangster and his daughter is unaware of his illegal actions, rather she thinks her father as the best father in the world. Balraj always wanted to marry his daughter in a rich family but opposite to this, Kiran meets Suraj ( Salman Khan ) who is a police officer and is investigating Balraj’s case.

Kiran develops feelings for him, Suraj too fells in love with Kiran. Suraj and Kiran were all set to get married and wanted Balraj’s consent. Kiran tells his father about Suraj, his profession and family details. Balraj gets annoyed and rejected Suraj as his would be son-in-law. He was scared that if this marriage takes place Kiran will come to know about her father’s unlawful business. He was ready to do anything whether to kill or die, to prevent his daughter’s marriage with Suraj. How will the lovers meet?
