The action comedy Phande Baaz was released on July 7, 1978. The movie was directed by Samir Ganguli and produced by Surjit Ahuja. The top roles in the movie were played by Dharmendra, Prem Chopra, Moushmi Chatterjee and Helen while the supporting roles were played by Ranjeet, Bhagwan, Tun Tun, Bindu and Brahmachari. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Mohammed Rafi, Amit Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar.
