Bollywood musical romantic movie, Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon, directed by Nasir Hussain was released in the year 1963. The movie starred Joy Mukherjee and Asha Parekh in lead roles while Krishan Dhawan, Tabassum, Rajendra Nath, Indira Bansal, Veena, Pran and Ranjeet also played important characters in the film. The hit evergreen music of the movie was composed by the veteran music director O. P. Nayyar while the songs were sung by Mohammed rafi, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a women named Jamuna ( Veena ), who is not happy with her husband and wants to get rid of him. She decides to leave him and runs away alongwith her son from her husband’s life. Years later, Jamuna’s son, Mohan ( Joy Mukherjee ) is now a grown yp guy. They both are living happily in their house. Mohan meets with a beautiful girl named Mona ( Asha Parekh ) and eventually falls in love with her. Soon Mona too starts liking him. But Mona’s gaurdian wants her to get married with another guy named Difu ( Rajendra Nath ), who belongs to a wealthy family.

On the otherhand, Jamuna learns that her husband has announced about the return of his son. She get shocked to this news. She goes there to verify this news and get another shock in the form of another guy named Ramesh ( Pran ), who is pretending to be his son. Jaqmuna first decides to tell the truth to her husband but then she made her mind to not to tell thsi truth to him at all.
