Phool Bane Angarey was an action movie released on July 21,1991. The movie was produced and directed by K C Bokadia. The top roles in the movie were played by Rajnikanth, Rekha, Beena and Dalip Tahil. Other good roles were played by Prem Chopra, Jagdish Raj, Alok Nath and Aparajita. The music of the movie was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Amit Kumar, Lata Mageshkar and Sudesh Bhosle. The dialogue writer was Anwar Khan.

In the movie Bishamber Prasad ( Prem Chopra ) is a well known and powerful figure in the society. He had many local criminals under him and was standing as a representative in the local elections. No one dared to compete against him except Dutta Babu ( Parikshat Sahni ) who was a noble man. Bishamber, when comes to know about all this becomes furious and decides to get him off his path. He sends his men to kill Dutta and they succeed. Inspector Ranjit ( Rajnikanth ) gets the case to investigate Dutta’s death and he finds the hand of Bishamber in it.

Ranjit plans to take action against him but his senior officials stop him from doing so, as they were all Bishamber’s mates. Ranjit interference in Bishamber’s work was increasing so he gets him killed. Ranjit’s wife Namrata ( Rekha ) gets shocked when she comes to know about her husband’s death and wanted revenge. Now she was after Bishamber. Will she be able to succeed in taking her revenge? The movie was altogether a good one with some beautiful songs.
