Songs of Phool


Phool was a family drama released in the year 1993. The movie was directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and was produced by Rajendra Kumar. The main roles in the movie were played by Madhuri Dixit, Sunil Dutt and Kumar Gaurav and some appreciable roles were played by Shakti Kapoor and Maya Alagh . The music of the movie was given by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt. The songs in the movie were sung by Udit Narayan, Kuamr Sanu, Sadhna Sargam and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi.

The movie opens with two very good friends Dharamraj ( Rajendra Kumar ) and Balram Choudhary ( Sunil Dutt ) who share the same occupation that is farming. Dharamraj had a son named Raju ( Kumar Gaurav ) and Balram had a daughter named Guddi ( Madhuri Dixit ). Both the friends wanted to strengthen their friendship so they fixed the marriage of Raju and Guddi in childhood. Dharamraj left the village and went to Mumbai to earn money and succeeds as a businessman. Raju grows up and turns to be a wealthy and handsome man.

Balram was very proud of his true friendship with Dharamraj and reaches Mumbai to meet his friend but is shocked when Dharamraj told him that the marriage of their kids cannot happen. This was a shock for Balram and his family. Guddi promises herself that she will forget Raju and meets a guy named Gopal. Now, Guddi developed a soft corner for Gopal in her heart and is sure of a happy life ahead. Gopal promises Guddi that he will marry her soon, and leaves her alone. How will Guddi handle this shock?
