Former beautiful bollywood actres, Poonam Dhillon, was born on 18 April 1962 in Kanpur, India. She was married to Ashok Thakeria and get divorced in the year 1997. She won the title of Femina Miss Young India at the age of just 16. She made her bollywood debut with a short role in Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor and Hema Malini starrer Trishul. She was paired opposite Sachin in the movie. She then played the lead actress in 1979 released Noorie opposite Farooq Sheikh and earned her first Filmfare nomination for Best Actress category.

Her next big hit came in te form of romantic drama, Sohni Mahiwal, in which she was paired opposite Sunny Deol. She did another movie with him in the form of action thriller Samundar. She also paired up with Kumar Gaurav in romantic movie titled Romance. And then did supehit flick titled Naam opposite him. She also played an important role in Subhash Ghai’s patriotic action thriller Karma opposite Anil Kapoor.
