Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao was a romantic movie released on October 1, 2004 under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications. The movie was directed by Kabir Sadanand and produced by Rangita Pritish Nandy. The important roles were played by Akshay Kapoor, Rashmi Nigam, Tanisha Mukherjee and Deepak Tijori while the roles of Yash Tonk and Aparna Kumar were also important. Music of the film was directed by Shekhar Ravjiani and Vishal Dadlani while the songs were sung by Shaan, Mahalakshmi Iyer, K K, Sunidhi Chauhan and Richa Sharma.

The story of the movie is a love story that revolves around three individuals. The lead actress in the film is Tanishaa Mukherjee, younger sister of Kajol, who made her debut with the movie “Sssshhh”. Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao is a special film for Kabir Sadanand who is debuting with the film. Pritish Nandy has deliberately selected the stars with not so popularity to add a fresh feel to the movie.

The story of the movie revolves around three close friends Rahul ( Akshay Kapoor ), Tanya ( Tanishaa ) and Goldie ( Yash Tonk ). Their group is known as ‘Kurta’ gang. While Goldie is in love with Tanya, she deeply loves Rahul who is lured by the new babe in college Sonia ( Rashmi Nigam ). Sonia is the dream girl of every guy in the college and so is for Rahul who is no different from others. Rahul leaves his kurta gang and goes to Mumbai to make a career in music industry and so does others who finds themselves pursuing their dreams.
