Bollywood movie, Prahaar: The Final Attack, written and directed by Nana Patekar was released on November 29, 1991. The movie starred Nana Patekar himself and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles while Dimple Kapadia and Gautam Joglekar played supporting roles in the film. The music of the film was given by famous music director duo Laxmikant Pyaarelal and the songs were sung by Manna Dey, Suresh Wadkar, Kavita Krishnamurthy. The movie did average business at the box office but won several acclaims by audience as well as by critics.

The movie starts with Peter D’Souza ( Gautam Joglekar ), who wants to join Indian Army as a commando. however, his father wants him to handle his bakery business and his girlfriend Shirley ( Madhuri Dixit ) wants him to marry her as soon as possible. Only Kiran ( Dimple Kapadia ), who is his neighbour, wants him to do what he really want to do in his life. Finally, Peter decides that he will go with his dream and goes for commando training. Major Chauhan ( Nana Patekar ) is assigned as their trainer. After completing a very tough training there, Peter, becomes a totally changed person. He also develops a very special respect for Major Chauhan.

Major Chauhan gets the news of some terrorists who have hijacked a school bus. he takes his newly trained unit for the rescue operation. They all get successful in their rescue operation but unfortunately Peter, who is shooted on the kneecap, finds that he will not be able to walk again in his life. Peter returns his home and after some days Major Chauhan recieves a letter from him in which he has invited him for his wedding. Major Chauhan arrives there only to find out that Peter has been killed by some gundas. Major Chahuan also discovers several unexpected things after investigating for Peter’s case.
