Prem Deewane was an action thriller released on June 12, 1992 under the banner of Mukta Arts Ltd. The movie was directed by Sachin and produced by Ashok Ghai. The significant roles in the movie were played by Jackie Shroff, Vivek Mushran, Madhuri Dixit and Pooja Bhatt while the roles of Prem Chopra, Ashok Saraf, Sachin and Manohar Singh were also important. Music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Jolly Mukherjee, Mohammad Aziz, Amit Kumar, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Manhar Udhas.

The title of the movie Prem Deewane happens to suggest us the genre of the movie as romantic but surprisingly it turns out to be action and thriller movie. The story of the movie mostly revolves around Radha ( Pooja Bhatt ) and Manohar ( Vivek Mushran ) who fell in love with each other at the first sight. They were in deep love and decided to get married soon. The problem to their marriage was posed by Radha’s dad Shomu ( Ashok Saraf ) who didn’t want her to marry him as he belonged to a poor family.

Shomu ordered Radha not to leave the house but Radha was in so much love with him that she found a way to escape and managed to run from the house to reach Manohar’s place. They ran away with the guidance of Radha’s uncle Natwarlal ( Prem Chopra ). Natwarlal asked Manohar to kidnap a famous person and take money as a ransom in order to impress Radha’s dad. It was then they came to know that Natwarlal had different plans for both of them.
