Pyar Ka Mandir was a family drama released on April 1, 1988. The movie was directed by K Bapaiah and produced by Shabnam Kapoor. The lead actors in the film were played by Mithun Chakraborty, Raj Kiran, Madhavi and Shoma Anand while the roles of Kader Khan, Aruna Irani, Asrani, Bharat Kapoor and Shakti Kapoor were also important. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Aziz, Suresh Wadkar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik.

The movie Pyar Ka Mandir was a family movie that revolved mostly around Laxmi Kumar who is a school teacher living a poor lifestyle with her three sons Sanjay ( Sachin ), Vijay ( Mithun Chakraborty ) and Ajay ( Raj Kiran ), and daughter, Meena in house they call and feel as “House of Love”. Their mother’s income was not sufficient so Vijay does manual labor work so that he can arrange more money to facilitate his brothers’ higher study of IAS and Law.

Soon Meena was also getting married to a young man named Satish and and Laxmi goes to withdraw her chit fund from Gopal Khaitan, only to find out that he has duped her. Soon after this she loses her school teaching job. In this way Vijay gets the money and this let his sister get married and brothers’ study but he was then found guilty and sentenced to 7 years in prison. When he gets released he was shocked to find that his home was sold and Sanjay, who is now the Collector, has got married to Sapna, a very wealthy woman, and both have a daughter, Geeta.
