Pyar Ka Toofan was a romantic movie released in the year of 1990. The movie was directed as well as produced by S M Iqbal. The major roles in the movie were played by Aditya Pancholi, Jamuna, Gulshan Grover and Aruna Irani while the roles of Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Pran, Asha Lata, Dinesh Hingoo and Meenaxi Shirodkar were also important. The music of the film was directed by Kalyanji and Anandji. The movie was edited by Hussain Burmawala.

Pyar Ka Toofan was an action cum romantic movie as guessed from its title. The story of the movie revolves around Shyamu ( Aditya Pancholi ) and Pinky ( Meenaxi Shirodkar ) who are best of the best friends since their childhood. The twist in their love story comes when Pinky’s dad Thakur Pratap Singh asks his daughter Pinky to not to be any more friendly with Shyamu as he comes from a poor background and also asks her not to see or meet Shyamu again.

When Pinky insisted to meet Shyamu again, her father Thakur Pratap Singh arranges for her to travel abroad thereby separating her from Shyamu. Some years later, Pinky returns home but has not lost feelings for her love Shyamu. When she goes to meet Shyamu, she was shocked to find out that he is to marry a village girl by the name of Roopa ( Jamuna ). When Thakur finds this, he forbids her movement in the house and locks her inside the house. He also appoints her brother Rakesh Singh ( Gulshan Grover ) who can kill anyone who go against his wishes.
