Bollywood movie, Raaste Ka Patthar, directed by Mukul Dutt and written by Jayant Dharmadhikari was released in the year 1972. the movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha and Laxmi Chhaya in lead roles while Satyendra kapoor, Asit Sen, Birbal, Trilok Kapoor, Prem Chopra and Asrani also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than the well knwon music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Mukesh, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with Jai Shankar Rai ( Amitabh Bachchan ), who wants to make it big one day. He always dreams of becoming a wealthy person and wants to live a comfortable life. He is determined to go to any level to make his dream a reality. He is in love with Neeta Sinha ( Laxmi Chhaya ) and wants to get married with her soon. She knows very well about the passion of jai to become a rich person and she adores this quality of him. But she has no idea that for getting success in his life, Jai will even agree to leave her if needed.

Arun Thakur ( Shatrughan Sinha ) is a wealthy businessman and lives a rich lifestyle. He is the cause of inspiration of every individual who wants to be a rich person one day. Jai gets an offer to become rich but the condition is that he needs to pay a big price for it. Jai agrees to pay that price for becoming rich and thinks that he has done the right thing. But soon he realises that he has comitted oen of the big mistake of his life?
