Bollywood comic caper, Raja Babu, directed by David Dhawan was released on 10 January 1994. The movie starred Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in lead roles while Shakti Kapoor, Kadar Khan, Gulshan Grover, Prem Chopra, Aruna Irani and Sameer Khakhar also played important roles in the film. The music of the film was given by duo Anand Milind while the songs were rendered by Abhijeet, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Vinod Rathod, Poornima, Kavita krishnamurthy etc. The movie was one of the biggest comedy hit of that year.

Raja Babu ( Govinda ) belongs to a rich family in a village. He was adopted by a wealthy couple, Kishen Singh ( Kadar Khan ) and his wife Janki Singh ( Aruna Irani ) in his childhood. Raja grows in the shelter of his mother’s love. Raja falls in love with a beautiful girl named Madhu ( Karishma Kapoor ). He tries to woo Madhu but fails. Then his parents goes to Madhu’s home for arranging their marraige. Madhu first agrees to it but later refuse to marry Raja when she comes to know that Raja is illetrate.

Madhu also says bad words to Raja’s father. Kishen Singh then decides to marry Raja with someone else. Later Madhu realizes her mistake and falls in love with Raja. Raja forgives her but Kishen Singh refuses to do so. Now Raja and Madhu decides to change Kishen Singh’s mind and does various hilarious things for that. But all their efforts goes in vain and Kishen Singh arranges Raja marraige with Lakhan’s ( Prem Chopra ) daughter. Raja refuse to marry that girl and as a result thrown out of the house by Kishen Singh.
