Bollywood actor, producer and director, Rakesh Roshan, was bron as Rakesh Roshan Lal Nagrath on September 6, 1949 in Mumbai, India. His brother, Rajesh Roshan, is a music director by profession. He is the father of famous bollywood star, Hrithik Roshan. He began his career as a leading hero with 1970 released Seema. But he went unnoticed just like that movie. She then did a film titled Aankhon Aankhon Mein and delievered his first hit as a leading hero. He played second fiddle in Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh starrer Khel Khel Mein.

He displayed his comic timing in the comic caper Khatta Meetha. He did another comedy flick titled Khoobsurat opposite Rekha after the success of Khatta Meetha. His next hit film came in the form of Kaamchor in which he was paired opposite Jayaprada. He agve another hit film with rekha in the form of 1988 released Khoon Bhari Maang. He then set up his own production company named Filmkraft made his directorial debut with Khudgarz. he delievred many hit film as director in the form of Karan Arjun, Koyla, Kishen Kanhaiya etc.

He then launched his son Hrithik as an actor in romantic thriller Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in the year 2000. The movie became a big hit and he recieved Filmfare Best Actor Award for his good work. He then made another flick for his son titled Koi Mil Gaya which was the science fiction film. He made the sequel of Koi Mil Gaya in the form of superhero film Krrish which once again got super success at the box office like the earlier one. However, his last released film titled Krazzy 4 failed to do well at the box office. Right now he is busy in his two forthecoming flick titled Krrish Returns and Kites.
