Bollywood action thriller, Ram Jaane, directed by Rajiv Mehra was released on November 30, 1995. The movie starred Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla in lead roles while Vivek Mushran and Puneet Issar also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the film was given by music director Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Abhijeet, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Sadhna Sargam. The movie went on to do average business at the box office.

The movie starts with an unnamed orphan boy. He asks a priest for his name to which priest says ” Ram Jaane”. The boy names himself Ram Jaane. He get arrested by a security guard while stealing cargo from a train. He is again arrested by corrupt police officer Inspector Chewte ( Puneet Issar ) for wrong charges. after spending the most of his childhood time in jail, Ram Jaane, returns to his friend, Murli ( Vivek Mushran ). Ram Jaane wants to become a rich man anyhow. He takes the wrong route of crime to fullfill his dreams.

Besides that he also help his friend Murli in raising the local kids in the area so that they won’t become another Ram Jaane like him in future. Ram Jaane also meets his childhood love, Bela ( Juhi Chawla ). But Juhi loves murli instead of Ram Jaane. When Murli relaizes this, he ask Bela to forget him and accept Ram Jaane’s love. Ram Jaane proposes to Bela and she accepts his proposal. But soon Ram Jaane learns that beal dislikes him and actually loves his childhood friend, Murli.
