Ranbhoomi was an action movie released on August 16, 1991. The movie was directed by Deepak Sarini and was produced by Vijay Sinha. The main roles in the movie were played by Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha and Dimple Kapadia, while some good roles were played by Gulshan Grover, Amita Nangia and Neelam Kothari. The music of the movie was given by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Asha Bhosle and Kumar Sanu. Dialogues were written by K K Singh.

The movie opens with a sincere, truthful and simple villager Bholanath ( Rishi Kapoor ) who comes to city to earn his living. Bholanath bought a very small amount of five hundred rupees and wanted to keep his money secure so he decides to give this money with a prostitute ( Dimple Kapadia ) as he thinks that money is safe with her. Now in this unknown, town Bhola develops friendship with a criminal Roopa Singh ( Shatrughan Sinha ).

Roopa, as a true friend is very kind to Bholanath and wants to make his friend’s tough life easy. He asks Bholanath to live with him, to which he agrees. Roopa had a rival Chandan Singh ( Jeetendra ) and Bholanath wants to end this rivalry. So, he offers himself as a captive to Chandan. Now it is a challenge for Roopa to save his best friend. Will Bholanath be able to achieve his goal? Is Chandan ready to end this enmity? The movie beautifully presented the real value of friendship.
