Former bollywood actor, Randhir Kapoor aka Daboo, was born on February 15, 1947 in the reputed Kapoor family of Hindi film industry. He is the eldest son of showman, Raj Kapoor. He is married to former beautiful bollywood actress, Babita and his two daughters, Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, are also famous hindi film actresses. Randhir Kapoor began his acting career with 1971 released Kal Aaj Aur Kal, which was his directional debut also. He then did a movie opposite Rekha in the form of Rampur Ka Lakshman.

He shot to fame after the release of his romantic movie titled Jawani Deewani in which he co-starred Jaya Bhaduri. He then gave a series of flop films in the form of Rickshawala, Humrahi etc. He displayed his superb comic timing in the comedy flick titled Ram Bharose. He also second fiddle in Amitabh Bachchan and Rakhee starrer Kasme Vaade. But his next few films failed to do well at the box office as a result of which he decided to do less movies in a year. He starred alongside Big B and Zeenat Aman in a superflop flick titled Pukar.

He also produced some movies like Aa Ab Laut Chalein, Premgranth etc. He the director and producer of the 1991 released superhit flick titled Heena which starred Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles.
