Bollywood romantic movie, Rang, directed by Talat Jani was released in July 9, 1993. The movie starred Jeetendra, Kamal Sadanah and Divya Bharti in lead roles while Amrita Singh, Ayesha Jhulka, Tiku Talsania, Rita Bhaduri, Kadar Khan, Bindu, Arun Bakshi, Bharat Kapoor, Nilofer and Dinesh Hingoo also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the film was directed by hit music director jodi, Nadeem-Shravan while the songs were beautifully rendered by Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam etc. The movie recieved normal response from the audience and hence went on to become an average hit at the box office window.

Young, rich and gorgeous Indu ( Amrita Singh ) get married to a poor guy, Ajay Malhotra ( Jeetendra ) against her mother’s wishes. Indu’s mother, Suchitra Madhav Singh ( Bindu ) always tries to make Indu stand against Ajay while her father, Madhav Singh ( Kadar Khan ) is happy with his son-in-law. But Suchitra get succeed in her bad intentions and manage to create difference between Indu and Ajay. Indu gives birth to two daughters, Pooja ( Ayesha Jhulka ) and Kajal ( Divya Bharti ). After the birth of the daughters, Indu and Ajay decides to get separated. Indu moves away from Ajay’s life alongwith Kajal.

Indu starts running her family business on her own. On the otherhand, Ajay becomes the new chairman after the meeting of board of directors. Years later, Pooja, who is young now tells her father that she is in love with a guy named Yogi Joshi ( Kamal Sadanah ). Ajay gives his nod to their marraige but get shocked to find out that Yogi actually loves her second daughter, Kajal. Kajal and Pooja both are not known to the fact that they are real sister. Kajal is in no mood to leave her love for Pooja and Pooja wants to get married to Yogi only. What will Ajay do now?
