Mithun Chakraborthy and Bindiya Gill starrer bollywood action flick, Rangbaaz, was released on October 25, 1996. The movie was directed by Kanti Shah. The other starcast of the movie includes Ishrat Ali, Kiran Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Jack Gaud, Satyendra kapoor, Johnny Lever, MOhan Joshi, Gayatri and Kadar Khan in siginificant characters. The hit melodious music of the movie was composed by none other than the hit music director Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik etc.

The movie starts with a young and handsome guy named Ram ( Mithun Chakraborthy ), who is living a middle class lifestyle alongwith his wife, Gayatri ( Gayatri ). His wife sees a murder in the market. She goes to police station and reports an FIR against the culprit. When the killer knows abut it, he abducts gayatri and kills her brutally after performing rape with her. Ram then decides to find out about the killer on his own. He learns that an influential political leader ( Ishrat Ali ) is behind all this.

He goes to kill him but fails and is arrested by police. He is torchured badly by police and even tries to kill him. But he somehow manage toescape from there. He then decides to wait for the right time to kill his wife’s murderer. He forcibly takes shelter in the house of a girl named Bindiya ( Bindiya Gill ).
