Bollywood blockbuster movie, Rangeela, directed by Ram Gopal Verma was released in the year 1995. The movie starred Aamir Khan, Urmila Matondkar and Jackie Shrauff in lead roles while Reema Lagoo, Avtar Gill and Gulshan Grover also played important roles in the movie. The hit music of the film was given by ace music composer A. R. Rahman and the songs were sung by Asha Bhonsle, Udit Narayan, Aditya Narayan, Hariharan, Kavita Krishanmurty, Suresh Wadkar and Chitra. The movie was well recieved by the audiences and went on to do good business at the box office.

The movie starts with a sweet beautiful girl, Mili ( Urmila Matondkar ), who belongs to a middle class family but always aspires to becomes an actress. Munna ( Aamir Khan ), who is a a small time black marketeer and a very close friend of Mili, is secretly in love with her. He wants to express his love to Mili but couldn’t. Being a very talented person, Mili finally gets a break to act in a bollywood film. A famous star, Raj kamal ( Jackie Shrauff ), suggests her name to a top director, Steven Kapoor ( Gulshan Grover ), who readily agrees to cast her in his next film.

After spending some more time with Mili, Raj starts developing feeling for her. Mili too falls in love with him. Munna finally decides to tell Mili about his feeling for her. But he finds that Kamal has already proposed Mili for marraige. Munna thinks that now Mili is no more interested in him and therefore decides to go away from her life. What will Mili do now? whether she would like to go with a successful star or with her childhood friend?
