Bollywood musical fantasy flick, Rani Aur Lalpari, directed by Ravikant Nagaich was released in the year 1975. The movie starred Rajendra Kumar, Jeetendra and Asha Parekh in lead roles while Feroz Khan, Reena Roy, Neetu Singh, Satyendra Kapoor, Danny Denzongpa, Ramesh Deo, Prem Nath and Aruna Irani also played important characters in the film. The music of the movie was composed by the music director Vasant Desai while the songs were crooned by Dilraj Kaur, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a child named Rani, who is living alongwith her mother, Kamla ( Asha Parekh ). Her father has gone out of the town for business from a long time. Both Kamla and Rani are torchered by thier cruel relatives with whom they are living with. Kamla becomes extremely happy with the news that her husband is returning soon. But she get devastated with the another news that her husband has passed away in a severe accident.

Sometimes later, Kamla also dies leaving behind her child Rani at the hands of her cruel relatives. Rani becomes extremely sad with the behaviour of her relatives and decides to bring her parents back at any cost. Her love for her parents makes her to undertakes a journey into the netherworld. What will happen now? Will she be able to bring back her parents or not?
