Rishta Kagaz Ka was an action cum drama flick that was released in the year of 1983 under the banner of Goel Cine Corporation. The movie was directed as well as produced by Ajay Goel. The main roles in the movie were played by Raj Babbar, Nutan, Rati Agnihotri and Suresh Oberoi while the presence of Neeta Mehta, Johnny Walker, Urmila Bhatt and Jagdish Raj supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Rajesh Roshan while the songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

Rishta Kagaz Ka was an action and a social drama that revolved mostly around a man named Professor Sharma ( Gajanan Jagirdar ) who decides to adopt a girl named Suman ( Nutan Behl ) after her parents’ passes away. Professor Sharma has a family of his wife and two sons namely Bunty and Arun ( Raj Babbar ). But his family now consisted of Suman as well. The movie takes a turn when one day Sharma’s wife passes away. Now it was Suman’s responsibility to take care of all the family members.

Suman was in deep love with a young man named Ravi Kaul and thus both wanted to get married to each other but with the approval of Ravi’s mother and Prof. Sharma. With the approval of the two the wedding date gets arranged but the twist in the story comes when on the same day Bunty gets killed in an accident and the wedding gets postponed. Then Arun also gets into trouble with a local merchant who accuses him of breaking and entering his shop.
