Hit bollywood movie Saajan, directed by Lawrence D’Souza, was released on November 15, 1991. The movie starred Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles while Kader Khan and Reema Laago also played significant roles in the movie. The movie is still recognized for it’s superhit music which was given by the duo Nadeem-Shravan. The movie managed to won two Filmfare Awards for Best Music Director and Best Playback Singer category.

The movie starts with Aman ( Sanjay Dutt ), who is a poor and handicapped child. He is always treated badly by other children. But then enters Akash Varma ( Salman Khan ), who belongs to a healthy family. Akash befriends Aman and bring him to his home. Akash’s parents adopt Aman and grow both of them as brothers. Aman has a habit of writing poems under the pen name of Sagar.

Pooja Saxena ( Madhuri Dixit), is one of the huge fans of Sagar’s poems and wants to meet him badly. Aman on a business trip meets this young and lovely girl. He instantly falls in love with her. On the other hand Akash also meets pooja and falls in love with her. When Aman comes to know about this, he asks Akash to meet Pooja as Sagar. In the end when the truth about the real Sagar gets revealed, Akash sacrifices his love for Aman.
