Bollywood flick, Saathi, directed by Mahesh Bhatt was released on September 3, 1991. The movie starred Aditya Pancholi and Varsha Usgaonkar in lead roles while Mohsin Khan, Dinesh Anand, Praesh Rawal, Soni razdan, Anupam Kher, Avtar Gill, Javed Khan, Mushtaq Khan and Raju Shrestha also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director duo Nadeem Shrawan while the songs were beautifully crooned by Mohammed aziz, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal.

Suraj ( Aditya pancholi ) and Amar ( Mohsin Khan ) are two brothers who live alongwith their father. Suraj and Amar witnesses the death of their father when some police mens throws him out of the window of a building. Years later, Suraj and Amar are now grown up guys and are small time criminals. They are then offered to work with the gangster Pasha ( Paresh Rawal ) to which Amar refuses. But Suraj decides to join pasha’s gang as he wants to attain wealth anyhow. Amar and Suraj then decides to get seperated as their path are now different.

Amar starts leading a normal life and meets with a beautiful girl named Nisha ( Varsha Usgaonkar). Soon they both fall in love with each other and decides to get married. Varsha becomes the reason for the fight between Amar and Suraj as Suraj is aksed to kill a aguy named Vicky ( Raju Shrestha ), who is none other than Varsha’s brother. Suraj is determined to kill Vicky while Amar wants to prtect him at any cost.
