Sagar Sangam was a romantic movie released on February 2, 1988. The movie was directed as well as produced by Dulal Guha. The top roles in the movie were enacted by Mithun Chakraborty, Anita Raaj, Shatrughan Sinha and Rakhee while Prem Chopra, Utpal Dutt, Padmini Kolhapure, Vijay Arora, Asha Parekh, Johnny Walker and Mac Mohan were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri.

As the name of the movie suggests Sagar Sangam was a romantic movie that was directed as well produced by the same person Dulal Guha. He debuted as a director with the movie Ek Gaon Ki Kahani released in 1957 and featuring Talat Mahmood and Mala Sinha in the lead roles. He has also written story for the movie Dhuaan released in 1981. Though the movie didn’t do well but its release was surely noticed.

The character played by the male lead Mithun was fantastic and his talent was surely noticed. He debuted with the movie titled Mrigaya released in 1976. He has done many hit movies throughout his career. The female lead in the film was played by Anita Raaj who debuted as a heroine with the movie Prem Geet released in 1981. She did many movies like Jeene Nahin Doonga, Karishma Kudrat Ka, Zalzala, Billo Badshah and Ghar Ki Izzat which were her famous films among the rest. The other male lead in the film was played by Shatrughan Sinha who has given many hits in his career.
